Quantum Information, Universal Memory

Indicator: Black Hole Information
Indicator: A Great Homoterrian

Stephen Hawkings is still stirring science up, as he has lately been reviewing his theories. This latest announcement about the nature of black holes is highly significant. Whenever he speaks the scientific world sit up and listen.

The significance is essentially a core issue in quantum science. If all information was lost in black holes there are information gaps in the quantum field, as I understand it. It denies its very nature, which contains all probabilities and connections. It is the basis of Bohm's implicate order and, in my mind, where the Universal Intelligence emerges from. It is also the foundation of the universal memory, an essential aspect of any intelligence.
If black holes were removing quantum information then it simply wouldn't work. Yet scientists know it does, hence the previous conundrum. He now is going to present his changed view that quantum information is preserved. Whew! Glad about that! We don't want the Universe forgetting things!
It is fitting that the prize of the bet Hawkings had is an encyclopedia, a repository of memory. Incidentally, Hawkings loses the bet against his own previous proposition.
There are many references in the mysticism of numerous cultures of a form of memory field. Robert Sheldrake has also stirred up biological science with a version of it.
The second indicator is to a page on Hawkings' site and his dealing with physical disability. I felt real admiration for this man, his guts and his intellect.

NB. There is also a sale item, his balloon basket. If you can afford it, snaffle it!
